My name is Helga Kaltenbrunner and I am a DONA certified birth doula.

Even from a very young age, I knew that I wanted to work with babies when I grew up. I considered becoming a midwife, but now I am glad I chose to become a doula.

As a doula, I  stay with the laboring woman and her partner throughout the entire birth and right after delivery. I can support them with physical comfort and emotional support.

It is my goal to make birth a

positive event in a relaxed

 atmosphere, one that a woman

 and her partner will think back

on years later as wonderful and

 empowering.

I think every laboring woman

deserves to have a doula, a

 trained birth companion who

 provides continuous physical

and emotional support for her

and her partner, who helps them

 become informed about the

course of their labor and their

options.

By getting to know the couple

 even before labor, I can help

them prepare for delivery, as well

 as  get the partner ready for his

 role as a birthing coach.

 

I work in  the Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Ventura County, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, Agoura Hills, Woodland Hills, West Hills, and San Fernando Valley area.
